Spectrum Launches Gigabit Broadband, Mobile, TV and Voice Services in Oceana County, Michigan

The network build is part of Spectrum’s $5 billion Multi-Year Rural Digital Opportunities Fund (RDOF) investment in Rural Broadband

Building Spectrum’s new fiber optic network in Oceana County is part of the company’s nearly $5 billion RDOF-related investment in underserved rural communities, partially offset by $1.2 billion in the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) RDOF auction. .

The company’s RDOF expansion will provide broadband access to 1.3 million customer locations in 24 states in the coming years. Spectrum has also won more than $700 million in state subsidies for broadband expansion, which, combined with Spectrum’s investments, will connect an additional 300,000 homes and small businesses.

Broadband speeds of up to 1 Gbps, plus money-saving mobile options and 85,000 on-demand choices

Spectrum Internet offers speeds up to 1 Gbps and advanced WiFi for residential and small business customers, with starting speeds of 300 Mbps, with no modem fees, data caps or contracts. Spectrum Business Internet offers customers 1 Gbps download speeds, with 300 Mbps and 600 Mbps options. The spectrum of the Internet exceeded advertised download and upload speeds for all tiers measured — even during peak weekday usage between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. — according to the FCC’s latest “Measuring America’s Fixed Broadband Broadband Ratio” released in January 2023.
